Key branding trends for 2026

That’s right — there are trends even in the finer details of corporate gift branding. The Poetry Home team has put together six rules of good taste.

Quiet Luxury

Minimalist embossing, foil stamping, understated colours and a clean, simple design on the packaging or on branded ribbon.

This principle can be seen in the world of luxury fashion. For example, Loro Piana has effectively built its brand recognition on the quality of its materials and understated design, without the need to display a large logo. Brunello Cucinelli employs a more distinctive, yet still very subtle, brand identity, where the focus remains on the materials, the cut and the craftsmanship.

Bottega Veneta has long employed a similar principle: rather than a large logo, the brand’s recognisability is ensured by its distinctive Intrecciato weave. This means that a product can be identified even without the brand name being explicitly displayed.

This is also a good guideline for corporate branding: if a product is of sufficiently high quality, it doesn’t need to ‘shout’ about who gave it.

That is why, instead of a large logo on the front of the box, you can use a small embossed design, a branded ribbon, a simple card, or brand the inside of the packaging.

Environmental friendliness and service life

Items should last a long time and be useful, rather than becoming rubbish after their first use.

In this context, it is not only the environmental friendliness of the materials that matters, but also the durability of the gift itself. An item that a person uses for months is of far greater value to the brand than a souvenir that loses its appeal immediately after being presented.

It is therefore worth choosing products that fit naturally into everyday life: home fragrances, candles, personal care products, scented accessories or functional household items.

Experience packages (Welcome Kits)

A combination of skincare products, home fragrances and stylish accessories, all presented in a single, aesthetically pleasing box.

A Welcome Kit can be particularly useful for onboarding new staff, corporate events, partner meetings or a new product launch. Rather than simply providing a single branded item, the company creates a holistic experience that introduces recipients to its values and aesthetic.

It is important that the products in the set do not look like a random assortment. A consistent colour scheme, a cohesive fragrance concept, high-quality packaging and well-thought-out branding transform a few individual items into a cohesive gift experience.

A small logo — a better chance the gift will actually be used

In the premium corporate segment the principle "less logo, more product" is increasingly at work. Research and practice in modern corporate gifting also stress that restrained branding is perceived as more premium, whereas a large logo can turn a quality item into a promotional souvenir.

So before applying a logo, ask a simple question: would the person want to use this item if there were no logo on it?

If the answer is yes, the task of branding is not to override the product's design but to delicately remind the recipient who it is from.

For this you can use:

  • small embossing;
  • tone-on-tone printing in the colour of the material;
  • laconic foil stamping;
  • a branded ribbon;
  • a card with a personal message;
  • branded packaging;
  • a small logo on the inside of the box.

This approach preserves the character of the product itself while making the brand part of the unboxing experience.

‍

Brand the product or the packaging?

Not every gift needs the logo applied directly to the product. For premium categories it is often more appropriate to leave the item itself as "clean" as possible and move the branding to the packaging.

For example, instead of a large logo on a candle, you can use a branded box, a ribbon and a personalised card. The recipient first sees a beautiful product, appreciates its design and quality, and only then reads the brand.

In this format the company does not compete with the gift itself for the recipient's attention.

A gift should remain a gift

The main trend of 2026 is not abandoning branding but rethinking it.

A branded gift should leave an aftertaste of refinement: the person sees the quality, feels the scent and only then notices your company's understated logo.

This is how corporate gifts with a logo can work for the brand's long-term reputation: not as advertising that is impossible to miss, but as a quality experience one wants to repeat.
